CanadianStage presents: The Wizard of Oz: The Toto-ly Awesome Family Musical
This holiday season, the Ross Petty Panto makes its grand return with The Wizard of Oz, reimagined with a hilariously irreverent twist as The Wizard of TorOZto. Produced by Canadian Stage, this year’s Panto transforms the historic Winter Garden Theatre into a whimsical wonderland where audiences of all ages (3+) can embark on Dorothy’s unforgettable journey.
Joined by Plumbum, the Cowardly Lion, Tin Man, and Scarecrow, Dorothy ventures through fantastical TorOZto, filled with dazzling sets, eye-popping costumes, and laugh-out-loud parodies of hits from Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, and more. Together, they face off against the Wicked Witch of the West End and seek the mysterious Wizard of TorOZto, whose love of bike lanes adds a distinctly Toronto flair.
The production boasts a stellar cast, including Dan Chameroy reprising his beloved Plumbum, Eddie Glen as the Scarecrow, Vanessa Sears as the Wicked Witch, and Julia Pulo as Dorothy. Under the direction of Ted Dykstra, with a script by Matt Murray, this Panto is a treat for all but the tiniest audience members—infants and toddlers under 2 are the only ones who won’t get to join in on the fun.
