3rd SickKids Fired Up Gala 2025

The third-annual SickKids Fired-Up Gala took place on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Toronto. This luxury black-tie event brought together supporters for an evening filled with entertainment, fine dining, and fundraising, all in support of the SickKids Hospital’s Burn & Plastics Unit.

The night began with an elegant cocktail hour, featuring a red carpet photo opportunity, interactive entertainment, an oyster bar, passed hors d’oeuvres, and a champagne toast. Guests also participated in a silent auction while enjoying a top-shelf open bar and a Glam Bot photo booth.

The dinner reception featured live performances, special guest speeches, and a four-course meal with a choice of beef or fish. A thrilling live auction took place in two parts, alongside raffles to raise additional funds for the hospital.

The evening concluded with a lively afterparty, where guests danced to live music and a DJ set while indulging in late-night sweet and savory stations. The silent auction remained open, and all attendees received swag bags as a token of appreciation.

Thanks to the generosity of those in attendance, vital funds were raised to support the SickKids Hospital Burn & Plastics Unit, helping to replace life-saving equipment used to treat over 400 burn victims annually.

The event was organized and hosted by Roxy Zapala, owner and creative director of Art of Celebrations Event Planning and Design Firm. Inspired by her personal connection to SickKids—after her son, Levi, received life-saving treatment for severe burns—Roxy has dedicated herself to giving back to the hospital through the Fired-Up Gala.

With the support of SickKids Foundation and the event’s incredible guests, this special evening made a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families in need of critical care.
